You'll work with engineers, product managers, designers, data science, and other TPMs across mobile, web, and backend to shape the food delivery gig economy!

  About the role:

  The TPM will orchestrate major cross-team technical projects, collaborating with Engineering and Product Managers on global initiatives, specializing in resource allocation and multi-functional teamwork. They will guide problem-solving, partner with engineering leads for solutions, coordinate engineering teams for delivery, and drive execution using KPIs. The TPM will standardize processes, ensure efficient execution, and maintain accountability by supervising progress, resolving dependencies, identifying issues, assessing risks, and reporting to leadership and stakeholders. They will also coach teams to energize and achieve high-reaching goals.

  What you'll do:

  Manage and oversee large cross-team projects, collaborating with engineers for resource planning, driving project momentum, and bridging communication gaps. Address dependencies, assess risks, and motivate teams towards ambitious goals, while providing support to teams with diverse priorities.

  Lead strategic planning and technical implementation, focusing on architectural solutions and continuous organizational improvement. Develop and implement detailed project plans, including roadmaps and budgets, and enhance engineering and program management processes. Encourage team efficiency and domain expertise, and mentor leaders in project management.

  Basic Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  Minimum at least 10 years as a TPM or Engineering Manager in software, SaaS, or mobile development, preferably in a senior or leadership position.

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high emotional intelligence, adept at conveying complex technical information and fostering team collaboration across diverse audiences, including executives.

  Strong collaboration skills, fostering a culture of teamwork and cooperation across different teams and departments.

  Proven strong cross-team and cross-org stakeholder management , demonstrating the ability to lead and mentor disparate teams providing guidance and support to achieve a unified objective.

  Analytical and truth seeking. Ability to understand complex concepts and make reasoned decisions objectively.

  Metrics driven with experience determining effective program KPIs and using them to measure program success and issues.

  Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks while prioritizing key items. Expert in identifying risks and process gaps, measuring progress, and balancing engineering and product efficiency against process overhead.

  Flexible and adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adjusting strategies for evolving project requirements and changing priorities in a growing, global business landscape.

  Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and successfully deliver complex technical projects on time and within budget.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Robust background in software development and application design.

  Possess a degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  Extensive experience working within complex organizational structures.

  For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$239,000 per year - USD$265,500 per year. For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$239,000 per year - USD$265,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
