POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the Nestlé USA Legal & Compliance function, the Senior Specialist, Corporate Compliance, will play a crucial role in ensuring the Company's adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing programs, policies, and procedures to manage risk and promote business integrity. The Senior Specialist, Corporate Compliance, will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal guidance and support on compliance matters throughout Zone North America. This role reports to the Assistant General Counsel & Head of Employment Law and works closely with the Zone North America General Counsel.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Specialist, Corporate Compliance, role will include:
Managing compliance programs, in conjunction with the General Counsel:
Coordinating the Nestle USA Compliance Committee, organizing meetings, agendas, presenters, and providing updates on compliance priorities
Overseeing the Business Ethics Questionnaire (BEQ) disclosure and approval process
Monitoring activities from the Nestle Group Compliance Committee
Working with Nestle Group Legal & Compliance on deployment and escalations related to trade sanctions screening
Serving on internal working groups managing risk for Nestle, including the Issues Roundtable (IRT) and Corporate Organizational Resilience Excellence (CORE) committees.
Creating and delivering and/or deploying training programs to educate employees on compliance policies and procedures and monitor completion of annual compliance trainings.
Monitoring compliance activities:
Managing the business integrity hotline for Nestle Zone NA
Preparing internal communications on business integrity topics
Monitoring external legal environment for emerging compliance and reporting to stakeholders on risks
Reporting and documentation
Monitor local execution of compliance initiatives and report on progress to Compliance Committee
Monitor and track complaint trends and report on same to relevant stake holders
Manage the annual compliance communication plan addressing priorities, trainings, and company initiative
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of compliance activities
Collaborating with Nestle’s ESG function to monitor and report on emerging legal obligations
Support other compliance priorities as determined by the Compliance Committee and the Legal & Compliance functional leads
Other activities as business needs arise
QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in corporate compliance and/or ethics, financial audit & controls, or a related field
Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional with the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics or equivalent certification or training certificate a plus
SKILLS:
Excellent project management, analytical and problem-solving skills
Agile learner with an ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and team members
Commitment to operating with absolute confidentiality
Technology-savvy and familiarity working with complex data
