SUMMARY
The Senior Specialist, B2C Content leads our content initiatives targeted at HR professionals and leaders. This pivotal role focuses on crafting and executing a content strategy that amplifies SHRM's thought leadership and addresses the complex needs of today's HR community. The Senior Specialist will create content that not only informs but also inspires HR professionals, offering insights into emerging trends, strategic HR practices, and leadership development. Reporting to the Director of B2C Content, this position offers a unique opportunity to influence the HR field and support the professional growth of HR leaders worldwide.
Responsibilities:
Thought Leadership Content Creation: Develop and execute a strategic content plan that positions SHRM as the go-to source for HR thought leadership, trend analysis, and strategic insights.
Strategic Content Planning: Identify key topics and trends that resonate with HR professionals and leaders, planning and producing content that supports their needs and challenges.
Engagement and Growth: Leverage content to deepen engagement with HR professionals and leaders, employing innovative tactics to expand our audience and reinforce SHRM's position in the HR community.
Collaboration and Influence: Work closely with SHRM's leadership, research teams, and external experts to ensure content is authoritative, timely, and impactful.
Analytics and Adaptation: Utilize analytics to measure content performance, making data-driven decisions to continually refine and enhance content strategy.
Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and guide B2C content team members, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity, and continuous learning.

Education Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in content marketing, with a focus on B2C content creation and remixing.
Demonstrated success in repurposing content across various formats and platforms.
A portfolio of work, including, short long form pieces.
Knowledge, Skills Abilities
Strong understanding of content marketing strategies and audience engagement principles.
Familiarity with HR industry trends, practices and challenges faced by HR professionals.
Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques.
Superior writing, editing, and storytelling abilities, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in crafting thought leadership content.
Proficiency in strategic content planning, digital marketing, and analytics tools.
Strong leadership and project management skills, capable of inspiring and directing a content team.
Strategic vision with the ability to translate SHRM’s thought leadership into compelling content strategies.
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the capacity to engage with experts and stakeholders across the HR field.
Creativity and innovation in content creation, presentation, and distribution.
Proven experience in developing and managing content strategies focused on professional development, leadership, or HR practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead content initiatives that drive engagement and support organizational goals.
Passionate about SHRM's mission and committed to advancing the HR profession.

Physical Requirements
Capable of performing essential duties with reasonable accommodations.
Work involves sitting, talking, hearing, and typing, with visual acuity required for keyboard usage, data analysis, and computer terminal operation.

Work environment
Work is primarily conducted in a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment.
Expected office presence of 3 days per week.

The hiring range for this position is $83,000 to $97,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
