As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing high-volume payroll processes, including working with union employees and overseeing full-cycle payroll. You will be the right hand to the Payroll Manager, providing support and expertise in all payroll-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high-volume payrolls accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
Manage payroll for union employees, including handling complex union agreements and calculations.
Perform full-cycle payroll tasks, including data entry, processing payroll changes, and managing payroll deductions.
Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll integration and accuracy.
Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
Assist in the preparation of payroll reports, tax filings, and year-end processing.
Support the Payroll Manager in special projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of strong, in-house payroll processing experience, with a focus on high-volume payroll.
Experience working with union employees and understanding of union agreements.
Proficiency in payroll software and systems; experience with [specific payroll software, if applicable] is a plus.
Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
