As the Senior Director, Supply Chain Operations, you will be responsible for daily operations, including the oversight of processes, reporting, improvements and personnel.   What you'll do on a typical day:Oversee the management of all client distribution and supply chain operationsSupport organic growth of client accounts by identifying and implementing additional client value opportunitiesHandle productivity, quality and safety standards in accordance with company needs and customer requirementsImplement and maintain operational processes and procedures; prepare reports on performance and potential improvements for operationsProvide direction, development and leadership for managers and supervisorsResearch of startup and ongoing personnel requirements for automation solutions based on product profile and activity levelsEstablish and meet site objectives in the areas of financial performance, safety, quality and customer service, while maintaining compliance with all applicable internal and external policiesProvide accurate and timely submission of key quality, financial and safety reportsHire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively; take corrective action as necessary in a timely manner and in accordance with company policiesPlan and coordinate plant activities with departmental managers and supervisors to ensure objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective mannerDrive a culture of innovation and success that values diverse voices, talents, identities, backgrounds and experiencesWhat you need to succeed at GXO:

  At a minimum, you'll need:7 years of managerial/supervisory experienceExperience with Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipmentAvailability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

  Preferred:Bachelor's or master's degreeAvailability to travel up to 75% of the timeBilingual English/SpanishExperience in supply chain management in a distribution environmentLean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement experienceExperience in an AS9100 or ISO environmentWorking knowledge of financial accounting and human resources practicesSuccess with building a diverse, inclusive workforce and leading a culture of belonging that respects every team memberWe engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
