About the Role:Maxar has an opening for a Sr Director, Business Development on the USGovernment team. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, anddeveloping new business opportunities at US Space Force.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders to meet annual revenue andbooking quotas, while developing and implementing the growth strategy set byleadership and other cross-functional teams. The role requires a team playerand peer leader with a focus on increasing awareness and adoption of Maxar'srobust earth observation imagery solutions and capabilities.
This role is an opportunity to drive growth and shape the future of advancedsolutions with US Space Force.You will utilize your network within thetargeted customer to position Maxar's suite of space-based technologysolutions, Earth and Non-Earth imaging capabilities, and geospatial dataand analytics, resulting in revenue and bookings growth.
Your success will be founded on your business relations background enablingyou to drive engagement at an executive level. You should also have ademonstrated ability to think strategically about the mission, product,and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compellingvalue propositions.
Responsibilities:Develop and implement the growth strategy for the US Space ForceLeverage existing or establish relationships with senior personnel in the USSFIdentify potential opportunities through established partners, workingcross-collaborativelyIdentify areas for growth and create market positioning that drives adoptionof products and servicesAssess competitive risk using financial, statistical, and economic dataand identify manageable solutions for customersWork with the Sales and Finance teams to accurately forecast, implement,and monitor a successful strategic go-to-market programSupport Sales and Marketing teams in the development of product positioning,presentations, press releases, product workshops, training workshops,and customer visitsStrengthen and progress deep business and technical relationships through yourknowledge of the customer's mission and the environment
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in business or political science; work experience may besubstituted10+ years of defense or government work experienceActive TS/SCI ClearanceExcellent cross-functional skills across customers, sales, strategy,marketing, product, legal, and operationsIllustrated success in achieving revenue targetsSelf-starter with demonstrated success working in a deadline-drivenenvironment with minimal supervisionFlexible with the ability to work independently and on teamsStrategic ap roach to product positioningStrong space domain knowledge with proven success selling into military,government, and/or defense communitiesAbility to travel as required

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility.Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate's unique set ofknowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potentialcommensurate with experience.
