This is a full-time position in Hartford, CT.
The Senior Analyst, Contracts, will be responsible for carrying out reviews of general contracts to verify compliance with contractual obligations, lessen legal risks, and support effective contract management processes. This role will also lead contract negotiation processes by collaborating with internal stakeholders and external parties, deliver outstanding quality service to internal and customers, provide expertise in the areas of customer contracts, negotiations, and project management and drive compliance with Aetna's internal and external obligations. This position reports into the Sr. Manager, Legal Contracts.
What you will do Under general supervision, reviews contracts to prevent potential disputes and financial risks. Ensures that contract terms comply with legal requirements and policies to generate contracts that adhere to company and legal protocol. Examines contract clauses, liabilities, stipulations, and obligations, and recommends and drafts provisions and amendments to fortify contracts. Advises internal departments on innovative or cost-effective ways to comply with their contractual obligations to improve company operations. Analyzes actual monthly expenses against contract obligations during the regular monthly close cycle and prepares monthly contract journal entries. Assists leadership in negotiating contract terms, payment structures, and reimbursement with other parties. Serves as a primary liaison between legal, procurement, senior management, and other key stakeholders in the contract preparation process for vendors and clients. Conducts routine reviews of junior-level team members' work to ensure contracts are being generated and edited per the company's contracting standards. Implements review and editing techniques within the team to streamline and improve contract processes. Required Qualifications 3+ years' relevant experience Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of problem solving and decision making skills Demonstrated negotiation skills. Conflict management and problem-solving skills. Experience collaborating with others to complete multiple tasks on time (this may include leading a team of key contributors on conference calls/video meetings, while sharing screens and keeping everyone on task). Track record of implementing positive improvements and execution. Experience handling diverse assignments and multiple priorities with demanding turnaround times. Team player with a high level of communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive client relationships. Detail-oriented with strong organization and time management skills. Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$43,700.00 - $105,100.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
