Sr. Account Manager, Kohler Energy

Opportunity
Responsible for sales targets assigned to distribution and ensure the success of distribution sales associates within a defined region. Serves as the distributor’s first point of contact for quotation support, discounting, and all other unresolved commercial issues. Supports the Regional Director for territory management and distribution development.
Specific Responsibilities
Ensure Kohler success through distribution business development efforts by meeting targets for quote volume, response time to quotes, hit rates across quotes and margin targets.
Responsible for advancing the relationship between Kohler, distributor, and our customers. Serve as the primary point of contact to coordinate all distribution business development events (factory visits, customer experience trips, and factory witness tests).
Manage and negotiate pricing discounts on projects submitted by distribution. Work with Distribution, Marketing, Engineering Solutions Managers, and KPS Management (when required) to determine final price.
Update and manage the sales forecast for all Kohler distributors in each territory.
Work with Engineering Solutions Managers to coordinate sales efforts across targeted accounts and projects.
Review with assigned dashboards and scorecards. Ensure both the distributor and Kohler take required actions to advance performance in the defined territory.
Provide quotation support as well as coordinate product, technical and application assistance in support of distribution sales associates’ business development efforts.
Collaborate with Marketing to collect valuable market intelligence, provide lost job feedback, and develop marketing programs/promotions to support defined sales targets for a given territory.
Skills/Requirements
Four-year bachelor's degree required.
Candidate should possess a minimum of 3-5 years of power generation or related industry experience including Sales and Customer Service experience on strategic/national accounts. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.
This position requires travel up to 10%.

The salary range for this position is $91,950 - $116,800. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
