Patient Care Coordinator at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital
Location: Woburn, MA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation: $19-$25 per hour, based on experience and education
Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital is on the lookout for a dedicated and dynamic full-time Patient Care Coordinator. This role is pivotal in our Speciality Services and offers an opportunity to work closely with our speciality departments and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake all key functions of a Client Care Specialist.
Manage and respond to client messages through our Callback System, coordinating with the medical team as needed.
Gain knowledge in common conditions, treatments, and medications related to our disciplines, and provide basic information to clients.
Actively monitor and communicate with clients about their pet’s appointment progress, treatments, and next steps.
Efficiently schedule and oversee daily appointments and prepare for upcoming weekly visits.
Manage cancellation lists and ensure timely receipt of rDVM medical records.
Conduct financial transactions and assist clients with insurance claims.
Support clinical team with follow-up calls and post-appointment tasks.
Qualifications:
Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 1 year of experience in veterinary or human medical field.
Experience with EzyVet and/or Payjunction a plus.
Strong multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Teams.
