Job Description:
The Specialist Planner interfaces with multiple departments and organizations and is primarily responsible for ensuring project deliverables are completed on schedule. A successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

Essential Functions:
Communicate, Coordinate, and Negotiate workflow through multiple work centers via various functional organizations to secure needed resources while ensuring changing customer demands, and schedule deadlines are met.
Expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules
Monitor order status, including material status, managing WIP areas, location accuracy, inventory discrepancies, manufacturing and program support, and communication support
Ensure availability of materials to meet production requirements and delivery commitments. Works to resolve material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
Leads stand up production meetings to capture status and report out any issues.
Advises program management on scheduling timelines
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance
Qualifications:
Requires proficient knowledge of job area. May have practical knowledge of project management. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
8+ years of experience using MRP systems software.
Advanced knowledge of Shop Floor Control principles and concepts, with basic application of strategy development and execution.
Intermediate level of understanding of FAR, MMAS, MAAR 13 and CAS
Able to communicate effectively with a wide array of professional levels and functions
Experience working in the US DOD manufacturing industry.
Understanding of industry principles, concepts, practices, and standards along with a basic knowledge of the manufacturing process.
Advanced Excel skills including Pivot tables, etc.
Working knowledge of Visio
Strong verbal and written communication skills
