Job Summary
The Specialist, Automation, and Development will play a significant role in building and automating workflows using a variety of tools to seamlessly integrate data from multiple sources. They will work with state-of-the-art data storage, search applications, and dashboarding utilities, gaining valuable experience in data analysis and visualization.
As a member of the Process Improvement and Automation (PIA) team, they will be responsible for providing process support services, workflow management, and implementing process and software automation. This will result in significant time and resource savings while enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of project data across NRTC Broadband Solutions. Moreover, the Specialist will actively contribute to the development of innovative ideas, continuously experimenting and evaluating cutting-edge technologies. They will strive to provide the best-in-class processes and tools for employees, delivering end-to-end workflow solutions. Their decision-making will focus on creating an exceptional Member and user experience that is highly efficient for teams.
The Specialist, Automation and Development will primarily focus on constructing and streamlining workflows with expertise in Power Automate and other relevant tools. This role entails proficiently incorporating data from diverse origins using Python and establishing connections with REST APIs through both Power Automate and Python. Furthermore, the individual will have the chance to delve into advanced technologies such as Elasticsearch and Kibana, acquiring invaluable knowledge in data analysis and visualization techniques.
Responsibilities
Design and develop Power Automate flows to automate manual tasks and processes across NRTC Broadband Solutions
Develop and maintain Python scripts for data integration, manipulation, and transformation
Interface with REST APIs from both Power Automate and Python to retrieve and send data
Analyze and visualize data using Elasticsearch and Kibana, providing insights to improve process efficiency and effectiveness
Perform data validity testing, schema conversion, or data migration of incoming data
Discuss needs with stakeholders to understand requirements concerning Processes and Workflow
Collaborate with the PIA team and other departments to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions
Maintain standards, processes, controls, metrics, and quality improvement
Document workflows and scripts for future reference and maintainability
Evaluate software tools and select applications that promote productivity, cost reduction, and overall efficiency gain
Stay up to date on the latest automation technologies and trends
Ability to work on projects with many unknowns and devise elegant and maintainable solutions
Strive for continuous improvement

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong proficiency in Python programming, including data structures, algorithms, and libraries like pandas and requests
Experience interfacing with REST APIs
Familiarity with data integration concepts and tools
Experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana preferred
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to make decisions based on industry knowledge, best practices, and captured requirements
Experience with Technical Writing and Process Documentation
Have a conceptual and practical understanding of PDCA process improvement techniques
Have a conceptual and practical understanding of SDLC, ITIL, and Agile Frameworks
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables at any given time through effective time management and planning
Have an excellent work ethic and the ability to work with diverse teams across different time zones
Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and communication, both written and spoken

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in IT, business, economics, accounting, or similar
Minimum of 1 year of experience with Power Automate
Physical Demands
Work is typically performed in a remote office setting
Willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time to meet organization and client needs.
