Billings Public Schools is seeking a SPECIAL NEEDS ASSISTANT for Riverside Middle School to provide support to teachers and students requiring special assistance.Duties:- Implements lesson plans, behavior plans, and responding to students' special needs.- Assists students with cognitive, sensory or physical limitations.- Assists students in using adaptive equipment and assistive devices.- Helps students to integrate into regular classroom settings.Qualifications:- Must be flexible and able to work with many different staff members.- Must have previous experience working with children.- Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.- Must be able to work with children with special needs, challenging behaviors, and personal care needs.- Must be able to lift and position students with physical difficulties.- Pre-employment physicals are required for this position and paid for by the District.Schedule: 6.5 hours a day; Monday - Friday; 9-Months a year; (.813 Full Time Equivalent).Wage: $16.13 per hour for 120-day probationary period, then $17.92 per hour.Equal Opportunity Employer.
