D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a_Paralegal_**for their Corporate LegalDepartment. The right candidate will support the Region department by coordinating legal, accounting and other requirements necessary to meet region goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Review Contract Packages (CP) submitted to the region from the division land department * Assist the region legal team with the review of Notice of Suitability (NOS) packages and submittal for corporate execution * Prepare weekly and monthly financial and operational reports and distribution to Region and corporate management * Coordinate with the division land department regarding timing for review of CP and NOS and verifying the completeness of CP and NOS * Provide assistance that support the Region Management team, including information request, review and data preparation
* Update due diligence checklists and other region forms * Submittal of the Contract and NOS to corporate after region approval (legal and business) * Coordinate with division land department and region CFO regarding earnest money requests, deposits, releases and execution of earnest money notes * Support the region legal team with review and approval of marketing flyers * Assist the region legal team with the review of environmental studies, surveys and site plans * Review easements and common area deeds for compliance with region and corporate policies and assist in processing for execution and recordation. * Coordinate with division HOA coordinators regarding region and corporate policies * Organize and maintain daily correspondence * Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company * Manage archive and storage of land files * Additional duties as assigned * Ability to work overtime * Regular and reliable attendance
Education and/or Experience
* Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school * Strong organizational skills * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral form or via DR Horton applications * Proficiency with MS Excel, Word and email * Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
