About Solutions Engineer

  Overview 

  Nomis Solutions is seeking an exceptional pre-sales team member to work alongside our account executives and revenue operations team in North America and the Australia/New Zealand region. Nomis is a provider of best-in-class pricing and profitability management software to financial services providers, our Solutions Engineer will display a deep understanding of bank operating models and profitability drivers and translate that into compelling value propositions and demos of our software. This individual should be capable of leading strategic discussions with executives and facilitating working sessions with pricing analysts and managers; displaying problem solving skills combined with sales intuition and a persuasive communication style.  Viewed as a consultative partner to our customers and prospects, our Solutions Engineer will develop trust-based relationships founded on a genuine desire to understand their objectives and a skilled ability to align their goals to the value propositions of our software.  This role is foundational to Nomis’ growth objectives and strategy.

  Who You Are  

  Our Solutions Engineer, based in Canada or the US, will bring seven or more years of experience working with North American banks, credit unions, and lenders. This professional experience establishes a foundation for a deep understanding of how financial institutions operate and drive profitability across deposits and loans. You are skilled at thinking and communicating at an executive level and are comfortable in regularly transitioning between ground level problem solving and high-level strategic work. You are passionate about taking on challenges and working with our customers and prospects in pushing their businesses forward. You are viewed as collaborative partner inside Nomis and serve as our product and technology subject matter expert within our go-to-market approach and sales process. You serve as the primary liaison between our sales organization and our product and engineering teams.

  Responsibilities

  Work with sales leadership and revenue operations to develop and continuously refine GTM messaging related to our products and services.  

  Own the development of demos across our solutions areas and products. 

  Contribute to market-facing sales enablement development, with a focus on solution and product overviews within pitch decks and online content.   

  Partner with the account executive throughout the sales process, with a dominant focus on technical discovery, demos, and product deep dives.  

  Participate in RFI/RFP completion with a focus on ensuring our product and technical capabilities are effectively aligned to the requirements of the prospect 

  In collaboration with sales leadership and account executives, develop and maintain strong working relationships with current customers and prospects.  

  Proactively identify alignment between customer/prospect objectives and our solution value props.  

  Communicate customer/prospect specific value props in a way that creates urgency and action.  

  Support the development of business casing and ROI determination based on unique customer/prospect level solutioning.  

  Partner with our product and engineering organizations by leveraging your ongoing dialogue with customers and prospects to ensure our roadmap is properly positioned to address their needs and capitalize on market opportunities. 

  Ability to travel as required. 

  Qualifications and Skills

  Bachelors degree required 

  7+ years of experience working at, or with, North American banks, credit unions, and lenders. 

  Ability to partner and collaborate effectively, internally and externally. 

  Familiarity with data driven analytics and software solutions and the ability to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences. 

  Exceptional problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to think and adapt on the fly. 

  Comfortable working in a fast-paced growth environment with a willingness to embrace a bias to action, including during times of ambiguity and lack of structure. 

  Authentic and engaging communication style with the ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. 

  Proven ability to succeed in working sessions with technical teams and sales interactions with business leaders. 

  For this position, our target OTE (On Target Earnings) is $185-215K USD (paid in your local currency), inclusive of base salary and variable compensation tied to attainment of sales targets.  As a company, we strive to maintain fair and equitable compensation practices within our team across all roles an all levels.
