In this role you have the opportunity to
strengthen our team with your large network and software design skills and make a substantial contribution to the innovation of product. Develop new products using the latest technologies and help us make next steps in security of our products. This role will challenge you in showing an abstract understanding of concepts, but at the same time to be involved in practical installed base cases.
Your activities
Work closely with Software Technical Product Owner Networking as well as the Hardware counterpart to support the creation, maintenance, and execution of the network roadmap
Support factory and installed base with networking and security expertise
Be linking pin between the software teams and security & network architect, translating, and implementing the architecture in hardware and software.
Design and implementation of software - understand and communicate consequences of your design on the architecture and influence design specification.
Design software based on design specifications, to ensure that the software is reliable, efficient, user-friendly, easy to maintain and meet the (medical) quality and coding standards.
Implement class, unit integration and unit tests for the designed modules or components.
Contribute to the quality and maintainability of our software stack which has to be maintained for a long time (10+ years).
Perform work in-line with processes/quality management system.
Contribute to the unit interfaces (SW), in close consultation with relevant disciplines.

Within Philips Healthcare in Best, the Business Unit Image Guided Therapy Systems is responsible for marketing, development and manufacturing of X-ray systems in the area of cardiac or vascular medical diagnosis and (minimally invasive) interventions. The customers are hospitals, medical specialists and universities. Philips Healthcare develops and manufactures best-in-class medical products. One of its success products is the Azurion platform. This platform allows our customers to perform procedures easily and confidently with an unrivaled user experience, helping them to optimize lab performance and to provide superior care.
This role is in the Imaging Chain Agile Release Train. The Imaging Chain Cluster is responsible for the real time image acquisition, processing, rendering and video distribution of our X-ray systems.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following skills and experience
Experience with Healthcare Regulatory aspects (FDA 820.x, ISO13485, etc.) is preferred
5-10 years of Experience with complex network architectures
Proficient with network technologies & standards (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, UDP, etc.)
Proficient with network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls)
Knowledge and understanding of network and overall software security fundamentals
Knowledge of Cisco hard- and software is preferred
Affinity and interest in software/hardware integration
Clear continuous improvement attitude, lean thinking
Effective communication and presentation skills
Academic degree in informatics/computer science and experience in technical software development (C++, C#)
Experience in working with legacy code
Personality skills to collaborate with colleagues from different teams/levels and think across functional borders
Experience working with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) organization is preferred
Experience with Linux is desired
