　　As an engineering intern on the Platform Team at Uber Freight, youdevelop and support distributed microservices that power the lifecycleof shipments on the platform. You will also maintain Freights searchinfrastructure, making sure it scales as we ingest more data and handlemore users.

　　At your disposal will be the tools that helped Uber grow to be aworldwide company, as well as new and upcoming tech from our Compute,Platform, Search, and Infra teams.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　Actively pursuing a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Computer Science ora related

　　technical subject area.

　　Good experience with at least one programming language preferably inJava, Go, or Python.

　　Proven software engineering experience through previous internships,work experience, hackathons, coding challenges, and/or publications.

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Experience building Search infrastructures, Indexing pipelinesExperience with Search technologies (Lucene, ElasticSearch, Solr)Knowledge of stream/batch processing engines (Apache Spark, ApacheFlink)Experience working with microservicesExperience with storage technologies (SQL, Hive)About Uber Freight
