Amentum is seeking a Soft Service / Workplace Experience Manager to join our team in Atlanta, GA.
Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm; hours may vary based on business demand.
The Soft Services /Workplace Experience Manager is fully responsible for the overall execution of soft services operation including custodial services, landscaping, pest control, snow removal, etc. as well as driving enhanced workplace experiences for both the client’s and Amentum employees.
Responsibilities :
Safety & Compliance
Ensuring all sub-contractors receive required training to perform the sub-contracted services in accordance will all Amentum and client safety rules, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Providing safety leadership in support of an accident-free workplace through planning tools.
People & Communication
Managing, leading, and developing the soft services team through effective communication, training, and development.
Demonstrates leadership by example and shows integrity and candor in all actions.
Compiling, maintaining, and presenting various reports to Amentum management and client teams.
Develops, presents, and manages compliance to key performance indicators.
Directly interacts with clients and manages relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
Invests in team building to create and develop a cohesive team.
Leverage communications, engagement programs, and insights from organizational data and daily engagement survey programs to create stronger connections between employees and the customer.
Deliver persuasive, evidence-based business cases for action and change that ultimately result in an improved human experience.
Operational Excellence
Oversees day-to-day soft services operations of client’s buildings and facilities.
Influences, develops and controls budget, costs, staff and vendors by planning, scheduling, implementing processes and drafting procedures.
Prioritizing work based on the needs of the client and for the on-time completion of all work, as well as all documentation involved.
Ensuring all waste streams are properly segregated to minimize their processing and endeavor to provide exemplary customer service and maximize revenue achieved from all waste streams.
Ensuring soft services are run efficiently, maintain good customer relationships, aiming to exceed the customers’ expectations and achieving agreed upon KPIs.
Manages the operation and completes tasks to the satisfaction of each client, consistent with cost, schedule, and contractual requirements.
Utilizes strong organizational and problem-solving skills and creative thinking to introduce and manage change to achieve continuous improvement.
Develop and recommend long-range goals and short-range objectives as well as plans and practices to produce optimum results. Direct day-to-day operations to attain established goals and objectives. Monitor performance against approved plans.
Clearly understands Amentum scope of work and contract requirements for the area of responsibility.
Conduct market research and gather intelligence regarding Human Experience and surveys to gain insight in how to provide meaningful solutions for the customer in increasing customer satisfaction.
Coordinate necessary technical interchanges with clients to ensure client’s requirements are thoroughly understood and accounted for in the execution of the contract.
Lead development of corporate customer service surveys, including health of the relationship, compatibility, and trust during the execution of services
Manage, track, and run processes required to provide a great customer experience, understanding both customer and employees’ perspectives.
Cost
Managing budgets to ensure they are properly controlled and stay within agreed upon limits.
Reviewing new job requests to differentiate between in-scope and non-scope work and addresses accordingly.
Directly responsible for P&L and budgeting of subcontractors.
Coordinates and monitors the purchase and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Identify and maintain accountability for company assets within assigned area and ensure employees understand their obligation to protect company assets.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, facilities management, or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of supervisory experience in industrial Facilities Maintenance, Janitorial and/or Subcontractor Management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites with emphasis on the ability to navigate and formulate within Excel and Access

This position will require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
Physical Requirements :
• Requires the ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.
Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.
Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.
Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.
Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.
Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Special Requirements :
• Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience utilizing Continuous Improvement disciplines such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, 4 M’s, etc.
Experience creating metrics and data mining for driving performance results
Experience in creating Power Point presentation and giving presentation in front of large audiences
Experience utilizing a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Experience in new business start-ups.
