WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As a Site Leader, Director of Operations, you will oversee the administration of our 500,000 sq ft. Williston, South Carolina manufacturing facility to ensure safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth.
The Director of Operations will have a direct impact on our Operations group, responsible for:
Lead the overall manufacturing strategy, planning, and operations for Williston including Value Stream Managers, Quality and Operation Engineering, EH&S, Logistics/Distribution, and Supply Chain
Develop and incorporates solid operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control and programs into all manufacturing processes.
Adopt process designs, technologies, and methods that maximize operational efficiency
Plans and forecasts resources for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce to ensure sufficient manufacturing capacity to support business goals
Ensure the correct and continuous operation of the sites through application of Crane Business System (Lean Manufacturing) and be a change agent
Manage and develop manufacturing site to achieve sales, profit, cost targets, and production goals
Promote organization culture to meet the goals
Develop strategies and implementation priorities aligned with rapidly evolving business requirements and integrate into a high-performance, but cost-efficient infrastructure
Design, implement and maintain an effective, efficient organizational structure to successfully support current and future business strategies
Lead change management activities and provide strong leadership to the teams by encouraging diversity of thought, focusing on employee development and performance, and ensuring teams continually acquire new technology and management skills
Guarantee excellent communications in organization at corporate level with strong internal communication.
May also be required to provide technical direction
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You will bring work experience in Operations and Site Leadership roles with well demonstrated success in excellent negotiation, relationship management and influencing skills at all levels of the business.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelors in Engineering; Masters in Engineering or MBA, preferred
10+ years of experience leading manufacturing operations including fabrication and assembly
Lean Trained/Six Sigma Certification
Ability to travel up to 10%
