Primary ResponsibilitiesHDR is currently seeking a Site Civil Engineer-In-Training (EIT) for ourBuilding Engineering Services Business Group located in Denver, CO. Ourteam is an integrated facility and infrastructure design team consisting ofcore services of Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and Site CivilEngineering. This person will be contributing to the design offacility-related sites in support of a variety of markets includingCorporate/Commercial, Healthcare, Education, Municipal, Civic,Industrial, Sports Recreation, and Mission Critical buildings andinfrastructure. They will be expected to coordinate and work closely with amultidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects fromplanning stages, through the development of construction documents, andconstruction administration. Coursework experience in land development and thedesign of building related site civil (grading, utilities, stormdrainage, stormwater management, and erosion control) is required. Thisindividual should be self-motivated, collaborative, and possess strongcommunication skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technicallysoIn the role of Site Civil EIT we'll count on you to:Contribute to the development of civil engineering scope of work and budgetsfor proposalsCoordinate with internal and external resources to complete all due diligenceresearch and documentationDevelop concept site layouts that are compliant with all Jurisdictionalrequirements and support the Pre-Application processCoordinate with the Authority Having Jurisdiction to determine design andsubmittal requirements and coordinate design solutionsAssist with community outreach as defined within the scope of a projectAttend and contribute to client meetingsTransition the concept plans through the schematic and construction designprocessesCoordinate with subconsultants for support and design servicesDesign and produce plan sets, details, specifications, and cost estimatesPerform calculations in support of the site development (stormwater pondsizing, culvert and pipe capacity analysis, hydrology calcs, etc.)Author reports that are technically sound, grammatically correct, and wellorganizedCollaborate with team engineers to determine the best course of actionBe independent in your pursuit for information and solutionsManage your time and organization of multiple tasks/projectsCommunicate effectively with managers and team membersPursue efficiencies within your work and operationsMentor junior staff and delegate appropriate tasksBe an advocate for HDR, the BES Business Group, and the Site Civil teamPerform other tasks that support the mission and vision of HDR and the BESBusiness Group#LI-LA1
Required QualificationsBS degree in Civil Engineering, or similar fieldWorking knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D with the drive to learn moreAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of ouremployee-owned culturePreferred QualificationsEIT c rtification strongly preferred.
