Description:
Required to work in a clean shop, 50+ hours a week, working in various departments learning the assembly and build process from start to finish. Job requires mechanical aptitude as well as ability to read a tape measure to perform basic jobs. Additional job requirements are based on person's experience or schooling to apply skill/trade to the job. Skill dictates which department you will initially be placed in.
Shift:
5am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday
Optional: Saturday (5am-10am)
Optional: 5am to 10am- double time

Openings are in the following departments:
2 in Furnace - Mechanics and Millwrights
2 in coil (can be shop helpers with some construction experience or mechanical assembler)
4 in Panel (Hvac and Electrician experience)
1 Shop Helper (Entry Level Manufacturing Experience)
(COIL) -Responsible for cleaning, breaking down, repair and assembly of furnaces/coils. Cleaning requires using a chisel and hammer to break apart cement from the coil.
Use hand and power tools to break unit down by removing nuts/bolts and supports. Could be required to assemble coil, which would entail attaching supports, sand blasting coil, applying an epoxy or adhesive for insulation and then wrapping the coil. Wrapping the coil requires ability to stand and literally wrap the coils with mesh material/tape. Wind tape around coil, might take entire shift to do this. Most of the job is labor intensive and standing all day. other aspects of the job, brazing and soldering can be taught as long as candidate has the mechanical aptitude to learn.
(PANEL) - Mechanical Assembly to assemble components into the cabinets according to drawings or pictures
Wire Assembly to connect wires in panel, point to point wiring following directions and installing wire harness to panels
Panel Building to retro fit control panel to customer specs, some hand tool and other small equipment used in assembly
Install wire channels according to pictures, same on each cabinet (1 out of every 6 is a double cabinet)
Wire channels are installed by placing channels into designated areas and placing tabs onto prongs to clip into place
Required to install wires, following diagrams and pictures, point to point wiring, each wire is numbered and is placed into corresponding number
Wires are already cut to length, and some wires harnesses are already assembled to simplify process
Add buss bar to control panels, using forklift or other machines to move heavier materials, some heavier lifting up to 50lbs. may be required
Install additional hardware to specific locations to complete the control panels
Apply any Stickers, Labels, Safety Signs to control panel doors
Each Control Panel will take two weeks to assemble, two weeks to test, clean, and ship, total of 4 weeks start to finish
Furnace/Subsystems - work on mechanical assembly of systems and subsystems
this department requires ability to measure-ideally like candidates with HVAC and or Plumbing and Pipefitting experience
assembly and fitting of pipes to both heat and cool systems-measure, cut, bend, thread, etc.
Must have the following experience:
Strong Mechanical Aptitude
Ability to Perform repetitive labor duties
Required to stand entire shift
Aptitude to train and willingness to learn on the job
Desire to advance in the role, take initiative
Basic Math Skills Adding and Subtracting fractions
Power Tools, saws, hand tools, screw guns, etc.
Brazing is a plus (can be taught)
Soldering is a plus (can be taught)
