Job Description
The Shop Floor Planner communicates, coordinates and ensure the execution by shift/ hours of the sequence of the Final pack, Pre-pack and Processing production plan released on Fridays by Planning team.
Reviews the availability of material for the orders to be completed in the shop floor area.
Provide priorities to production area when an issue arises (absenteeism, maintenance issues, etc.) providing direction of which production lines need to be prioritized in the shop floor area.
What your day will look like:
Re-balance through the week the production plan (Pre-Pack, Final Pack and Processing) in a shift basis to maintain the data in SAP updated ensuring:
Finished Goods priorities when the plan is released.
Provide to Operations information of how many persons need to be flexed between plants based on the daily plan, optimizing labor resources in all buildings.
Keep the plan feasible based on Machine and Labor.
Maintain stability in warehouse capacity through Pre-Pack Plan focus only in the current week.
Analyze and compile data to support the reports used in the daily meetings, identifying the root cause and trigger actions if necessary.
Advise to Materials Planning in case to have a shortage of material generated by a late delivery by a supplier, adjust the plan based on the best arrival date, advise the latest changes to the production planners.
Advise to Molding if they need to restock because any deviation such as quality issue, etc. which can generate a high impact on the plan or the operation (shut down).
Are you up for the challenge?
Experience: Experience in production scheduling of a manufacturing plant with capacity limitations in equipment or material.
Education: Industrial Engineer or similar preferred.
Skills: English intermediate.
Knowledge: Experience working with SAP, MRP, MS, Excel. Access and Power BI desirable.
Able to work in shifts 4X4.
