　　Security Clearance: Active Clearance or Eligible to Obtain - U.S. citizenship required

　　Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 Depending on Experience and Education

　　Travel: 5%

　　Position Summary

　　SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Shock Physics Test Engineer to support our Aberdeen Research Operation. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.

　　Primary Duties and Responsibilities

　　Supporting the operations, use and data analysis of shock physics experiments conducted with large bore diameter light gas guns.

　　Serve as the Test Engineer for the Applied Physics Branch large diameter light gas guns.

　　Research and execute selected projects that support the mission of the Applied Physics Branch through the use of advanced experimentation which focus on relevant high-rate deformation and failure phenomena in materials as well as impact physics mechanisms.

　　Minimum Qualifications of Shock Physics Test Engineer Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Science Concentration and 1+ years of experience.. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; is you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply

　　Primary Knowledge & Skills Desired

　　Working knowledge of experimental and computational solid mechanics, high-rate deformation and failure of materials, and shock physics.

　　Working knowledge of high-speed instrumentation, to include oscilloscopes, interferometry, velocimetry, and ultra-high speed digital cameras.

　　Working knowledge of MATLAB software.

　　Experience documenting results in presentations and publications in technical reports, conference proceedings, and/or peer review journals.

　　SECRET Security Clearance.
