  Shipping & Receiving/Logistics Analyst - Fairfax, VA

  We have a new opening on our Corporate Team for a Shipping & Receiving/Logistics Analyst at our HQ in Fairfax, VA. This is open due to additional help needed and it requires a TS/SCI (candidate will eventually obtain a CI Poly). Ideally looking for a junior-mid level candidate, not someone looking to retire in the next 10 years as we have a senior team that will likely have retirements during that time. Seeking demonstrated experience in:

  Shipping/receiving

  Property Management

  Logistics

  Target Salary Range: $70K-$95K

  Travel: light, few trips to Denver each year

  Shift: 8 hours per day, can flex on what specific hours they work

  Job Description: Reports to the Logistics Manager; duties include receiving, packing, crating, coordinating and processing receipts and shipments utilizing receipt paperwork to include DD Form 1149’s, as well as multiple courier documentation. Inspecting, tagging and posting incoming property and material into the property management system. Perform annual inventory, process excess property via disposition program. Utilize Property Management System to update records and track property through the life-cycle; periodically performing quality control of documentation and records. Support Government Property functions for highly active Defense Contractor in a SCIF environment.

  Responsible for inspecting, receiving, tagging and posting incoming property and materials to the Property Management System (Sunflower). 2. Verifying and signing for shipments, unloading and storing the received items, and processing any returns. 3. Responsible for documenting and reporting any discrepancies and noting on transportation documents and initiate any claims against the carrier. 4. Communicate regularly with contracting, finance, property and others involved in the receipt of equipment and material. 5. Loading and offloading of equipment and materials. 6. Package, crate, strap and wrap property for commercial, courier and military shipments in accordance with accepted commercial and military standards. Create DD Form 1149’s and other required documentation and update the property system to reflect shipments. 7. Select commercial carriers to meet required delivery dates while ensuring lowest cost available to the company. 8. Coordinate courier shipments with applicable agencies. 9. Maintain strict housekeeping and warehouse operations in logistics and storage areas. 10. Perform equipment sanitization and follow established excess disposition processes. 11. Perform annual inventory on over 19,000 assets using scanners and or manual updates. 12. Track property movements and update the Property Management System as required. 13. Support all property management functions as outlined in FAR Part 45, Clause 52.245.1 and agency directives to support Government property audits from multiple agencies. 14. Will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. 15. Provide logistics assistance to associates and customer personnel. 16. Maintaining a professional property certification is desirable. 17. Must be able to work and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant and continued interface with internal and external customers. 18. Will be potentially required to get Hazmat certification in order to process hazardous material shipments. 19. Must be able to lift heavy equipment. 20. This is a demanding position in a very active environment; the ideal candidate should be able to work independently and/or in teams, have high energy and strong attention to detail. BasicQualifications: Security Clearance TS/SCI with CI Poly Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years related experience or 5 years related experience without a Bachelor's Degree Experience with Property Management Systems Experience with U.S Government Property Experience with Commercial and Military Transportation Systems Experience with Logistics Operations to include Packaging, Shipping, and Receiving MS Office Suite: Excel and Word Desired skills: Knowledge of Property Management Systems Good communication skills both oral and written Must have excellent customer relations/liaison skills Experienced user of computer programs to accomplish reports and maintain logs Certified or knowledgeable of Hazmat shipping requirements Familiar with Courier operations CPPS level certification

  Work Schedule: Full-Time; STANDARD-Mon-Fri/8 hours a day; occasional overtime and weekends may be required to meet critical mission requirements
