　　Job Description

　　AECOM is seeking a Senior Transportation Design Engineer to be based in Decatur, IL.

　　The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

　　Serves as a fully capable professional in the field with minimal direction.

　　Applies advanced knowledge to develop design procedures software and tools to facilitate high quality cost-effective technical project activities.

　　Develops estimates of technical efforts for projects.

　　Manages communication and collaboration with full design team and client.

　　Conducts interdisciplinary review of project deliverables and develops estimates of technical efforts for projects.

　　Oversees the development and implementation of technical approach and the completion of complex work which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

　　Initiates and creates project designs and plans with responsibility for preparing presentation and design drawings.

　　Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings.

　　Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.

　　May oversee the work of less experienced designers.

　　Meets with clients and oversees all aspects of the project to ensure client needs are met.

　　Qualifications

　　Minimum Requirements:

　　Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Preferred Requirements:

　　Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.

　　Professional Engineer license.

　　12+ years of experience managing transportation tasks and/or projects.

　　Computer proficiency in MS Word and Excel, CAD and Design software packages.

　　Familiarity with IDOT, ISTHA, and local agency specifications, policies, and procedures.

　　Ability to proactively communicate.

　　Established relationships with local clients.

　　Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation in Illinois will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $92,870.00 - 171,809.00 annually.
