  Currently, we are seeking a motivated, career and team-oriented Senior Training Analyst for the data solutions training team in support of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Continuous Diagnostic & Mitigation (CDM) Data Services Program. The CDM Data Services Program is a critical component of CISA’s national effort to ensure the defense and resilience of cyberspace. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of engineering principles, simulation technologies, and training methodologies. As a Senior Training Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our Dashboard training programs, ensuring they align with industry standards and meet the evolving needs of the CISA workforce. This is a remote position where the candidate can work from any location within the United States provided, they are able to work on an eastern time zone schedule.

  The Dashboard Solution Training Team is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating courses and learning tools that educate and inform end users, agencies and key stakeholders on the successful utilization of the CDM Dashboard. Successful execution of this training program requires strong knowledge of adult learning methodologies, training implementation and facilitation best practices, expert knowledge of common cybersecurity threats, strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external partners. This team is expected to work closely with and develop strong working relationships with government and agency specific stakeholders.

  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  Systems Design and Development:

  Lead the design and development of experiential learning courses within a Cyber Range Environment.

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  Ensure the integration of the latest technologies to enhance training effectiveness.

  Project Leadership:

  Participate in the entire course development life cycle from concept to delivery.

  Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Dashboard Solution training team.

  Collaborate with Lead ISD to establish timelines, identify resources, and monitor project progress.

  Technical Expertise:

  Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in simulation, training, and CISA cybersecurity threat alerts and indicators of a compromise.

  Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance training capabilities.

  Conduct research and development activities to improve existing systems.

  Quality Assurance:

  Participate in a rigorous testing and quality assurance process to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of training courses and resources.

  Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve training performance.

  Training Program Facilitation:

  Facilitate synchronous training events and live demos.

  Ensure alignment of learning objectives with dashboard solution architecture.

  Basic Qualifications:

  A minimum of (8) eight years of experience in a relevant field

  A Minimum of (8) eight years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering training curriculum, simulators, or similar technologies.

  Proven experience facilitating Cybersecurity learning and development curriculum

  Expertise in Cyber Range and other virtualization sandbox technologies.

  Strong systems administration and engineering experience in heterogenous Windows and Linux environments.

  Solid understanding of engineering principles and their application to training and development.

  Deep understanding of CDM Dashboard course development processes

  Familiarity with CISA learning and development platforms, such as, FedVTE

  Familiarity with Open-Source Learning Management Platforms, such as, Moodle

  Familiarity with Federal Systems security hardening standards

  Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  Demonstrated ability to innovate and think creatively to develop state-of-the-art training solutions.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Systems Engineering certifications

  A bachelor’s degree and or a master’s degree in education, computer engineering, IT infrastructure management, or computer science

  Security Clearance Requirements:

  Must be a U.S. citizen (non-dual citizenship)

  Able to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability/Entry on Duty (EOD)

  Physical Requirements

  Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

  Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

  Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

  The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
