Overview
Position will report in person on a hybrid schedule and may be based out of one of PPL's corporate locations located in either Allentown, PA or Louisville, KY.
Responsible for planning, accounting, and compliance activities associated with domestic income and non-income tax laws and regulations and with generally accepted accounting principles. Seeking an ambitious individual with a desire to grow within the company.
Responsibilities
Prepares income tax provision calculations, records journal entries and performs account reconciliations.
Prepares income tax disclosures for SEC and other regulatory reporting requirements.
Develops and maintains tax records, returns, reports, and other related materials.
Assists in the development and implementation of tax strategy
Devises legal means to minimize tax liability using knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Researches and recommends the development of alternative tax treatments to alleviate or reduce tax liabilities.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related area
4 years of relevant income tax experience
Knowledge of state and federal taxes
Knowledge of tax accounting principles under ASC740.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Advanced degree in taxation
6 years of relevant tax experience
CPA Designation
