Ensures implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensures that safe work practices are followed, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
Assist and review design and implementation of automated tax accounting solutions. Implement data analytic tools for enhanced efficiency for various sections of the Tax department.
Participates in the development and implementation of tax strategy using thorough knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Supervise staff in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax accruals,SEC disclosures, roll-forwards and other related calculations.
Maintain reconciliations of income tax accounts.
Prepares on a monthly, quarterly and period basis analyses of income tax variances between actual and forecast.
Assist in the preparation of tax related SEC reporting and external auditor deliverables.
Ensure compliance with all tax SOX controls and provide documentation to internal and external auditors.
Assist in researching tax, financial and regulatory tax related issues.
Supervises and reviews the preparation of income tax schedules for SEC, FERC, PSC and other regulated companies filings and reports.
Reviews all accounting and rate case changes to determine the proper income tax treatment of various items on monthly income tax accruals and tax returns.
Prepares and maintains tax basis balance sheets and supporting schedules.
Supports the annual budget process and rate case filings related to income tax computations, as required.
Performs other related tasks and assignments as needed.
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related field and 3 years experiencePreferred Education/Experience
Master's Degree Accounting, Finance or TaxationRelevant Work Experience
Five to eight years experience in corporate or public accounting environment. Required
General knowledge of GAAP Accounting Standards as they pertain to Income Taxes (ASC 740). Required
Strong oral and written communication skills. Required
Demonstrates excellent organizational and follow-up skills, enabling effective management of priorities and timely commitments. Required
Must have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams). Required

Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
