　　SAIC is seeking an organized and motivated Senior Systems Engineer in Middletown, RI who will work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be leading a collaborative team of system engineers working to bring a complex system of hardware and software from the requirements analysis stage all the way through verification and validation phase of the system’s engineering life cycle.

　　Location : Work is performed both on site and allows for remote/work at home. The on-site work is at 28 Jacome Way, Middletown, RI, and/or the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport.

　　Work Schedules : Flexible work schedule options are also available. If desired, engineers may partake in SAIC’s 9/80 schedule to have every other Friday off or a 4/10 schedule if desired.

　　More on the Role: This job requires experience in systems engineering leadership and management - workflow management of systems engineering activities, and an eagerness and enthusiasm for solving engineering challenges. Your projects will include requirements management, work scheduling, documentation review, verification planning and management, and status reporting on a wide array of systems in the areas of undersea defensive systems, torpedo test equipment, Automated Test Equipment (ATE), system design, and other evolving tasking.

　　The System Engineer's activities and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:

　　· Providing system engineering leadership and task guidance to a cross-functional team of system’s engineers.

　　· Developing and providing detailed task descriptions to an SE team with clear deliverables and due dates.

　　· Identify and apply current and emerging Digital Engineering practices, methods, and tools to address our sponsor and partners' most pressing challenges.

　　· Apply knowledge and principles of agile acquisition, architecture design, system integration, risk assessment/management, and other systems engineering disciplines to increase system’s engineering efficiency, traceability, and content accuracy.

　　· Employ rapid prototyping and technical recommendations to inform sponsor and partner capability requirements and decisions.

　　· Collaborate with platform partners to contribute to greater practice of MBSE and DE across the enterprise.

　　· Review and approval of technical documentation, such as Requirements Specifications, Concepts of Operation, Product and Performance Specifications, Interface Control Documents, Compliance Matrices, Qualification Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports.

　　· Development and documentation of engineering processes and standards in support of customer requirements.

　　· Workflow scheduling and management.

　　Qualifications

　　REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

　　· Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university and fourteen (14) years of related experience.

　　· (5) years of experience in System’s Engineering Management.

　　· Must have an understanding of Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

　　· Must have experience with DOORS / DNG.

　　CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

　　· Must be able to initially obtain an Interim Secret Clearance and then obtain and hold an Active Secret Clearance for the duration of work on the contract.

　　DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

　　· Python, Microsoft Power BI, SharePoint.

　　· Data Science techniques and tools.

　　· JavaScript / HTML5 Web Development.

　　· Electro-mechanical hardware design and engineering.

　　· Experience with the marine environment and naval operations and systems.

　　· Experience with applications and tools such as Cameo Enterprise Architect, Matlab, Simulink Modular Open System Architecture (MOSA), Microsoft office suite.
