Job Description:
This requisition is contingent upon L3Harris winning the C-5M Supplemental Depot Capability (SDC) contract.
The anticipated date of Contract Award is February 1, 2024, with an anticipated start date of February 12, 2024.
The location for the performance of this program is Rome, NY. Employee must be located on site.
Essential Functions:
Supervise C-5 Galaxy PDM/UDLM.
Meet program schedule within time and budget constraints.
Ensure workmanship meets standards and coordinate efforts with other shifts, providing pass downs to management and team leaders.
Responsible for the team performance to safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
Create training and performance metrics and will establish and monitor conformance with production specs, procedures, schedule, and safety.
Certify quality of completed work and will interface with customers and government personnel.
Job Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Must have 4 years C-5 Galaxy knowledge and/or experience in scheduled/depot level maintenance.
Must be an effective communicator and possess strong motivational skills.
Must display a strong understanding of the acft flow during modification.
Must be able to demonstrate creative problem-solving capabilities.
Must be willing to work any shift, and overtime as needed.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must have a functional knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Additional Skills:
A&P License
C-5 General systems experience
Previous leadership experience
Lean Six-Sigma previous experience and/or Greenbelt.
