The role involvestroubleshooting, determining root cause, developing and reviewingsoftware requirements, detailed specifications, and software debuggingfor complex automated test equipment. Our standard test equipmenthardware solutions are National Instruments PXI, cRIO, FPGA and LabVIEWbased along with custom designed electrical solutions. Electricaltroubleshooting skills are critical to the role. The software engineerwill help ensure that new and existing automated test sets meet theproduct test requirements. The test engineering team also offers theunique ability to learn cross-functional aspect of test equipment designincluding mechanical, software, and systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot complex issues that may be software, hardware, system, orproduct related to determine root cause and corrective action
Debug code
Develop and maintain test documentation, plans, procedures, and reports.
Write test requirements and detailed design documents.
Communicate technical issues through written, verbal and presentationmedia.
Support to operations to help ensure on-time delivery of product.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment where priorities change
Able to work both autonomously as well as part of a team
Strong organization, communication, and multi-tasking skills
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering orMathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations andminimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in arelated field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of adegree, 9 years of relevant experience
Experience generating and presenting project status
Hands-on Aerospace / Military hardware design, build, test andintegration experience (or in regulated manufacturing industry)
Previous professional experience using Microsoft Office applications
Previous exposure to LabVIEW
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) oreligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:
LabVIEW CLD certification
Strong background in electrical troubleshooting
Exposure to various test systems, experience with various avionicsbusses, and experience with National Instrument PXI hardware are all aplus
