　　The VM Management & Clients team develops core functionality in Hyper-V such as the management and orchestration interfaces that provides access to the virtualization capabilities in the Windows operating system to clients ranging from the Azure Cloud, on-premises Windows Server users, all the way to scenarios such as the Windows Subsystem for Linux. These features also include VM Live Migration that enables a variety of availability and optimization scenarios by seamlessly moving running VMs between machines in a datacenter.

　　Responsibilities

　　Collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers, including mentoring more junior engineers in the workgroup

　　Learn and share ideas continuously

　　Drive for quality in everything you do and continuously improve the quality of the systems on which you work

　　Collaborate across team boundaries to define and drive team charter and vision

　　Provide technical input across the Windows Core and Azure teams

　　Design and implement new virtualization related features for Hyper-V and Windows

　　Qualifications

　　Required Qualifications

　　Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, Rust

　　OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, Rust

　　OR equivalent experience.

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Solid architectural skills backed up by implementation experience

　　Strong coding, debugging, testing, and problem solving skills

　　Proven communication and collaboration skills

　　Ability to work on a large codebase and willing to take on a wide variety of challenges

　　Strong understanding of systems software and low-level hardware/software interaction

　　A track record of solid results across multiple ship cycles

　　Experience with hypervisors, kernel mode programming, containers, and/or security

　　Thorough understanding of modern computer architectures found in desktop PCs and servers
