Moog Advanced Programs (AP) West, a business unit of Moog Space andDefense, is looking for a Senior Satellite Flight Software Integration andTest Engineer to join our Space Vehicles team in Arvada, CO. Moog AP Westspecializes in passive and active vibration suppression/load alleviationproducts and services, spacecraft buses and sub-systems, spacecraft andpayload structure and propulsive accommodations, and precision motion control.The Space Vehicles team is rapidly growing and comprises a cross-disciplinarygroup of industry veterans and young talent alike. The focus is on thedevelopment of satellite buses, Orbital Maneuvering Vehicles (OMVs),space tugs, and more. The team is a tight-knit group ofcollaboration-oriented professionals that welcome others looking to work onmulti-faceted, complex problems as a team.This position has a primary focus of Flight Hardware and Software Integrationand Test Engineering. The role includes the following: Develop a detailedunderstanding of all avionics hardware and software that comprise a spacevehicle's avionics/electrical system; Write test procedures and testplans; Create scripts for test procedures and automated test; Execute TestProcedures and Scripts to verify that an assembled space vehicle will meetcustomer needs; Review requirements and design documents; Interface withSystem Engineers and Software Developers; Install and configure FlightHardwareThe Arvada, CO location is nestled in the foothills of the front range,just west of Denver. The office is a 10-minute drive from downtown Golden andDowntown Arvada and is an easy commute from most of the Denver Metro area.Colorado offers year-round outdoor activities and is a melting pot ofcultures.Minimum Qualifications that will you'll need to bring with you:
B.S. (4 year) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
8 years of experience testing hardware and software.
Experience in Integration and Test of satellite avionics hardware and/orflight software or related experience.
Experience reviewing requirements and writing detailed test procedures andassociated test scripts.
Experience with test planning and execution.
Experience with testing software on target hardware.
Experience with testing avionics boxes and components.
Experience with ground/lab electrical support equipment and test equipment.
Experience with satellite or other space vehicle command and telemetrysystems.
Self-Starter, ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and cancommunicate effectively.
This position requires access to US Export Controlled InformationPreferred Qualifications:
Familiar with Spacecraft Flight Software development and design.
Experience verifying Flight Software.
Experience handling Flight Hardware in a lab environment.
Experience with Spacecraft Flight Hardware and Software integration.
Experience writing automated tests.
Experience with one of the following ground software (command andtelemetry) programs: COSMOS, InControl, MAXGDS or similar Command andTelemetry Software Systems.
Experience with MAX Flight Software.
Experience with program and design review process (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
Experience using VxWorks, or other RTOS.
Experience in C/C++, Python3, XML and scripting language (Linux Shells).
Experience with the Agile process.
Experience interacting with customer and managing customer needs.
Experience interacting with subcontractors.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
