Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Risk Analyst will report to the Manager, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and will play an integral role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of Canadian Tire Bank’s ERM Program. The successful candidate will work with business partners across the Bank and Canadian Tire Corporation to provide second line oversight, and to establish robust risk management policies and processes to ensure that risks are managed within the Bank’s established risk appetite.
Support the Manager, ERM in developing and maintaining an ERM program and risk appetite framework, including tools and processes for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting on risks on an enterprise-wide level.
Review and assess compliance with risk related regulatory guidelines established by the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (“OSFI”), the Bank’s regulatory body, and work with appropriate individuals across the Bank to develop mitigation strategies, if required.
Conduct monitoring and oversight of the Bank’s risk related activities using established risk management tools and processes, such as performing risk assessments and scenario analysis exercises, and reviewing risk metrics and sales practices.
Liaise with business units across the organization to provide risk management expertise and second line oversight.
Provide oversight of the Bank’s third-party risk management framework and be a subject matter expert on the supporting policies, processes and software used for managing third party risk.
Maintain the Bank’s model inventory, risk classification scheme and facilitate the model risk assessment process in alignment with regulatory requirements.
Support the manager in the oversight and monitoring of significant changes to credit risk strategies, and review of credit risk reporting and key processes to confirm adherence with credit policies.
Develop regular Management and Board reports and coordinate meeting agendas, minutes, and presentations for the Bank’s Cross-functional Risk Committee.

Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in enterprise risk, operational risk, audit, or an equivalent business-related role in a regulated environment, preferably in banking or financial services.
Post-secondary education (degree/diploma) in a business-related discipline.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Enthusiastic learner with well-developed organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and facilitate risk related discussions.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team of risk professionals.
Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
A strong knowledge of the credit card business and Canadian banking regulations is an asset.
Certification in risk management is an asset.
Knowledge of software utilized for managing third party relationships is an asset.
