Job Description A TEL Quality Engineer will be an innovative, self-motivated individual who can identify and lead cross-functional projects driving product quality through the entire product lifecycle. This leader will be a dynamic collaborator with supply chain, production, field, and engineering teams to ensure world class product development and continuous improvement.Responsibilities: Creates product quality plans that drive new products and drives design Creates efficient processes to sustain continuous improvement efforts throughout the Quality department. Monitors the quality of products from early development / application through product launch and post-sale customer experience. Collaborate and lead cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain to achieve product excellence goals. Develops and implements dashboards and metrics to drive on-going continuous improvement Leads structured problem-solving activities to resolve customer complaints, audit findings, or warranty returns in a timely manner that prevents reoccurrence. Monitor and report product quality data, identify and address factors driving negative warranty trends. Apply quality methodologies, tools, and techniques incrementally and throughout product development. Hands on Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with 8+ years of relevant professional work experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning in design and new product development Experience in Power BI, SAP, statistical analysis software Ability to operate in a fast-paced changing business environment Proven track record of innovation through design and process improvements Collaborative, influential partner, driving focus, priority and alignment with key stakeholders and teams Change management agent in a global environment Skilled in interpersonal, communication and team leadership. Knowledgeable in 8D root cause analysis, PDCA or DMAIC problem-solving methodologies DFx and xFMEA assessment throughout the development process Critical to Quality specification definition Physical Demands and Work ConditionsThe physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This is a largely sedentary role; however, the role requires the employee to bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 - 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
