The PM mustunderstand and participate in the engineering of extensive designprocesses and be able to lead a cross-functional technical team. Thisunique PM role requires working closely with the advanced technology andbusiness development teams to bring new products to customers andcustomers to our new products. Primary responsibility is to bringtechnology readiness and manufacturing readiness levels across thevalley of death to level 9 for new fuels technologies. The PM will guideprogram performance including execution, financial goals, riskmanagement, schedules, and all other contractual and/or internalcommitments.
The PM will advise management (and/or customers) through briefingpackages, EACs, and technical proposals, Gate Reviews and Program Plansaccurately reflect the program\'s health and must be achievable. Sincethere are generally no direct reports to the PM in a matrixedorganization, the PM must have good communication skills to engage theteam and functional management in order to achieve results. This willinclude working with section and department managers to ensure the teammembers have the correct technical skills to execute the program. The PMmust continue to evaluate the needed skills and develop high performingteams. Given the size and complexity of these efforts, delegation andsupervision of work products is necessary to ensure technical results aswell as cost and schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
Accountable new product development related to fuel sensing systemsinclusive of pursuit and order capture, design and development, andtransition to manufacturing
Participate in long-term strategic business planning and roadmapping forthe next generation of products
Assigned as the chair of the Integrated Project Team (IPT) accountablefor managing the contract lifecycle, cost schedule, performance andon-time delivery of programs
Serves as the face of the organization to customers, both internal andexternal
Ability to self-start, motivate, multi-task, address multiple issues andset priorities
Must be reliable, organized, flexible and detail oriented.
Excellent business sense to proactively identify and resolve problemsand issues quickly and efficiently
Has Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for a specified value stream orgroup of value streams within a business segment or portfolio
Demonstrate program compliance with the Collins Management System (CMS)
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years priorrelevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevantexperience
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) oreligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

10+ years of direct work experience in program management, systemsengineering, or related experience
Experience developing new business capture activities and winning newbusiness
IMS and EVMS implementation and execution, to include meeting EACrequirements
Must be able to travel in support of business execution and growthrequirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with fuel systems development and/or design
Minimum 5 years experience successfully managing technology developmentprograms and Enginee ing and Development Programs
Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) ispreferred
