JOB REQUIREMENTS: National Presto, a nationally recognized manufacturerof small household appliances is looking for a talented ProductDevelopment Engineer to join our team. In this role, you would beresponsible for all aspects of product development from concept throughproduction. Additionally, this level is expected to develop focusedtechnical expertise and serve as a limited engineering reviewer onceprerequisite experience is attained. What you\'ll do: Define theengineering and manufacturing specifications for consumer productsincluding: Mechanical, electrical, and thermal function and performancematerial selection 3D & 2D CAD modeling (SolidWorks preferred)Verification testing Cost analysis Establishing quality control criteriaMonitoring production start Some overseas travel is required What youbring: BSME, BSEE, BS in mechanical technology, or equivalent Ability toapply technical and engineering knowledge to the development and launchof innovative consumer products Intermediate to advanced skill levelrequired for 3D CAD solid modeling (SolidWorks preferred) Electronicdesign experience a plus Agency approval process knowledge such as UL,FDA or NSF is preferred. Basic understanding of electrical engineeringconcepts and experience with PCBA\'s preferred Demonstrated knowledge ofdie cast, sheet metal, and plastic part design; materials and componentsselection; general electrical; and production methods.
