This role will be focused on developing Nitinol forming processes for the device and will have strong opportunity for future growth.It will be a hands-on role for a high priority project early in development. You will have the opportunity to drive innovative technology solutions from concept to commercialization.You will be partnering cross-functionally with a technically strong, experienced, and highly engaged team. Your responsibilities include: Developing new capabilities and owning the development of critical processes for a complex device in a pilot environment Collaborating & partnering with R&D to develop product concepts, influence design specifications and provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package Driving successful prototyping of various design configurations in a development pilot line environment Works cross functionally to lead, own, develop, & deliver capable and robust processes and equipment to operations. Develops experimental strategy and presents technical data and recommendations at technical reviews Solving complex technical problems in a hands-on manner, working in a fast-paced environment Providing strong leadership and problem solving to enable medical device innovation. Working on product and process development to lead the design and commercialization of new medical devices Develop, write, & review process validation strategy and related deliverables to meet quality system requirements. (e.g., Experiment tech reports, GR&R, TMV, IQ, FMEA's, etc.) Contributes ideas to or generates Intellectual Property submissions. Required qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience Bachelor's degree in engineeringor relevant technical field Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineeringor relevant technical fieldand 5 years engineering experience or Master's degree and 3 years experience Demonstrated cross functional collaboration and influence in a technical environment Experience with Nitinol Manufacturing and complex equipment Experience working with SolidWorks Expertise in Operations and/or New Product Development Demonstrated understanding of problem solving and root cause investigations Experience with Process Verification and Validation Demonstrated understanding and usage of statistics to drive improvements Medical device or other regulated industry experience Potential for travel up to 10% of their time #LI-Onsite Requisition ID:575407 Among other requirements, Boston Scientific maintains specific prohibited substancetesting requirements for safety-sensitive positions.
