  Description

  DescriptionHuntington is looking for a Senior Principal Enterprise Architect who will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic framework to align the organization’s objectives with our technology solutions. This colleague will be part of an architecture team that is driving the organization towards our technology strategies. This senior level architecture role will be a critical member of the Enterprise Architecture Practice Team, reporting within the Chief Architecture’s Office, and responsible for refining our Enterprise Architecture processes and architecture governance. We are looking for someone who enjoys creatively solving problems of all types, whether it be people, process, or technology, or a combination of all three. The ideal candidate achieves results by driving the Enterprise Architecture practice forward while consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

  Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  Lead the development of an implementation governance approach for the Enterprise Architecture based on business requirements and IT strategies.

  Facilitate the creation of governing principles to guide Enterprise Architecture decision-making.

  Design and drive an optimal governance structure and lead activities associated with Enterprise Architecture compliance.

  Oversee Enterprise Architecture implementation and ongoing refinement activities.

  Oversee the evaluation and selection of Enterprise Architecture standards.

  Oversee the documentation of all architecture design and analysis work.

  Understand, advocate and support the enterprise's IT strategies.

  Lead the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive useful business context.

  Lead analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the Enterprise architecture.

  Develop and present Enterprise Architecture position papers on key technology direction and decisions within the bank.

  Promote the Enterprise Architecture process, outcomes, and results to the organization, including the enterprise's IT and business leaders.

  Assess and communicate the value of the Enterprise Architecture.

  Help drive the evolution of the Enterprise architecture function/program.

  Basic Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, systems analysis or a related field of study

  Min 5 years of experience designing architecture solutions for information systems including data/information architecture, technical infrastructure architecture, and application architecture

  Preferred Qualifications

  7 to 10 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines (such as technical architecture, network management, application development, et al)

  Banking industry experience, including regulation and risk

  Solution Architecture experience across the business, technology, data, application, and infrastructure domains

  Experience working in Agile/Scrum

  Experience with SDLC, waterfall and agile delivery; DevOps and testing including experience with Cloud solution enablement

  Experience working with SOA, microservices, and modern web application frameworks

  Familiarly with basic information management priorities.

  Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and Processing environments.

  Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, Facilitation, and negotiation.

  Strong leadership skills.

  Excellent analytical and technical skills.

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  Excellent planning and organizational skills.

  Knowledge of all components of holistic Enterprise Architecture.

  Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes.

  Basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting.

  Familiarity with basic graphical modeling approaches, tools, and model repositories.

  Understanding of the political climate of the enterprise and how to navigate the politics.

  Ability to balance the long-term and short-term implications of the individual decisions.

  Ability to translate business needs into the Enterprise Architecture requirements.

  Ability to apply multiple solutions to the business problems.

  Ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.

  Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)
