　　Rockwell Collins Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for a Senior Hardware Engineering Manager in Melbourne, Florida. This is a hybrid position that requires working onsite in the Cedar Rapids, IA office at least 3 days per week and allows working remotely from home up to 2 days per week. Occasional international travel to customer sites is required (Canada estimated 2-3 times per year; Brazil 1-2 times per year; India 1 time per year).

　　Primary Responsibilities:

　　Develops project plans, schedules, and budgets for mid-size programs, and recommends appropriate adjustments to ensure adherence to the established project plan, schedule and budget. Monitors financial performance of the business and develops corrective action plans to address financial performance gaps.

　　Develops designs and work specifications, schedules, budgets and forecasts, and selects materials, equipment, project staff, and contractors to optimize performance.

　　Drives strategic planning efforts for medium and/or complex programs to ensure that the organization's objectives and business target are achieved.

　　Understands and communicates job schedule to all project team members to ensure timely completion of projects.

　　Identifies and reacts to project problems and leads solutions, such as reallocating resources or changing contractual specifications, and assists in resolution development for escalated problems.

　　Reviews and presents plans and progress reports relating to project value-stream strategy, progress, and results.

　　Required Qualifications:

　　At least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field and at least 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related role. In the alternative, at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field and at least 10 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related role would be acceptable.

　　At least 5 years of Avionics systems or software development experience

　　At least 3 years of experience with Avionics certification processes (ARP-4754 / DO-178)

　　At least 2 years of experience leading major Avionics development projects

　　At least 2 years of experience in the areas of EVM, CAM, Change Management, and Risk Management

　　Demonstrable knowledge of project schedules (IMS), month end reconciliation activities.

　　The salary range for this position is $148,491 to $236,000 per year. This is the correct compensation range. Please disregard any additional verbiage noted below pertaining to the salary range.

　　The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
