　　Responsibilities

　　 This is a full-time remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S. We are actively seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to help build and maintain our Genex Reporting Data Warehouse. We are hoping to find someone with an expert working knowledge of the PostgreSQL database as well as a varied working knowledge of Oracle. You will be focused on designing, developing, testing complex scripts and stored procedures, and utilizing foreign data wrappers for Oracle, MS SQL. The development will be enhancements, new features, and maintenance. Responsibilities:    •  Designs, analyzes, develops, codes, debugs, tests and documents programming to satisfy reporting business requirements for large, complex projects.    •  Define work and provide status updates by task in Planner Office 365 tool daily.    •  Using cron tool be able to create/maintain and schedule jobs and monitor daily issues and maintain acceptable best practices for naming, reporting, and tracking jobs as required.    •  Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies.    •  Deliver solutions using PostgreSQL 15 and Kornshell based technologies in Linux environment.    •  Translate functional specifications for reporting into an efficient stored procedure/solution.    •  Assist in third level support of applications or processes once delivered into Production.    •  Provide development estimates as needed and add to Office 365 Planner Task.    •  Use test driven development to deliver products to client/internal requirements.    •  Write technical specifications and unit test plans as necessary; conduct and assist in unit and integration testing.    •  Conduct unit, load, performance, and integration testing as required.

　　Qualifications    • 5-7 years of Postgresql experience in development of scripts, triggers, stored procedures, and views.    • Familiarity with Korn shell scripting in Linux.    • Oracle experience is a plus.    • Foreign Data wrapper (TDS, Oracle, etc.) work is also a big plus.    • Person should be a self-starter and expert in coding for Postgresql.    • Person should be able to function independently regarding Postgresql coding concepts and best practices.    •  Excellent Communication skills.    • English speaking, writing, comprehending are a must.

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $87,878 - $125,000 annually, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
