About Senior Operations Manager, Uber Eats Netherlands

  About the role

  Our Operations teams work where Uber's technology meets the real world. We are the local eyes on the ground, own country-specific business outcomes and bridge our overall business strategy with local needs.

  The Senior Operations Manager will contribute to setting the vision, direction, and priorities for the city operations teams. The team's mission is to use data and operational levers to redesign and optimize the way we lead the operations in the Netherlands, improve decision making and impact business outcomes. You will be supervising and working on projects that could span across an array of topics, ranging from courier acquisition, marketplace efficiency, reliability and performance management.

  What you will do

  Work to continuously improve the city operations in the NetherlandsProject management and execution - Design, execute and project lead multiple projects from A-Z in a constantly changing, complex environmentProcess Optimization - Identify gaps in current processes and establish best practices to increase the efficiency and reliability of city operationsCross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management - Manage a complex set of stakeholders distributed across Local and Regional Operations Teams, Automation, Legal, Support, manage external partners and morePeople Support: Lead, coach, and take a deep interest in the career development of the members of your team

  Qualifications

  Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in general operations management, with a focus on program management, operational management, consulting or similar fields.Strong project management skills - the ability to prioritize and successfully drive a project from beginning to end - no matter whatData driven mentality with an eye for process improvement and operations optimizationExperience working closely and communicating effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders in a constantly evolving, rapid growth environment with tight deadlinesStrong Excel/Google SheetsProficiency in English is required

  Adaptability and autonomy - you are adept at balancing priorities and projects in a continuously moving environmentCollected and calm under pressure - you have superb organizational and interpersonal skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks, and operate well under pressure and tight timeframesHands-on, creative solutions driven mentality with a 'let's get it done' attitudeOpen, curious and eager to learn - you are interested in all things and can build up skills and knowledge fast to become a recognized subject matter expert amongst your peersSQL proficiency

  Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office. For certain roles, such as those based at green-light hubs, employees are expected to be in-office for 100% of their time.
