Lead MSL team for KOL engagement and regional medical activities
Cooperate with MA team and sales team
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES may include but not limited to : Define major accountabilities and/or activities. List most complex or difficult parts of job first and indicate percentage of time required to perform each task.
Key roles may be different country by country. So, % of time can be put at each OpCo level considering local situation

o Closely collaborate with sales management team and central MA/MKT functions.

1. Medical information communication
External
a) Ensure team to communicate directly and proactively scientific information on the products within the approved label as well as information related to the therapeutic area to KOLs and broader external audiences, including participation in formulary discussions as appropriate.
b) To respond to scientific queries of customers for approved products and products/indications in development, based on Medical Information documents e.g. literatures, safety records, scientific FAQs etc.
c) To organize and moderate advisory boards in cooperation with TA groups including MA, TA product marketing team.
Internal
d) To provide medical & product training and scientific support to Sales Representatives in coordination with Training Department as appropriate.
To act as a reference point to Sales Representatives for any scientific query

2. Medical education, medical program and activities
a) To organize local or regional medical activities, including AB meetings etc.
b) To support national and regional medical educational events including speaker selection and content communication, and provide support in collaboration with MA as appropriate.
To support other medical affair programs like clinical trial for local communication

3. Contribute to company Brand plan and Medical Strategy and planning
a) Insight collection and analysis: exhaustive collection of insight from in-scope territory regarding existing knowledge gaps, scientific data gaps and clinical care gaps and medical needs.
b) Regional/National hub for providing inputs from the field into the Medical Strategy authored by TA Physicians.
Develop MSL communication strategies and relevant MSL tactics/ activities

4. KOL development and engagement
a) Complete KOL mapping for new product launch preparation
b) Regularly (recommended quarterly) update KOLs information in alignment with sales/ marketing team
c) Actively identify, develop and engage key KOLS at regional level.
d) Proactive and reactive communication of medical/scientific data to KOLs.
Through scientific interactions and academic collaboration with KOLs, champion medical benefits of products and contribute to foster innovative therapeutic approaches to benefit patients.

5. To maintain updated medical and scientific knowledge about clinical practices and studies conducted within the therapeutic areas.
