  Department

  Oracle Manufacturing and Distribution (M&D) is responsible for distribution of network, desktop hardware, software, and marketing material to Oracle’s internal and external customers worldwide. M&D's mission is to continually deliver high-quality products, services, and interactions, on time, to our customers.

  The Role

  The Senior Material Handler supports the receiving activities including unloading, sorting, inspecting, processing, labeling, storing, and transacting of incoming materials. They also process the Asset Reclaim returns (laptops) from existing and exiting employees; ensures all incoming delivery matches the company purchase order, ensures accurate, timely processing of receiving and return materials and kitting jobs, and ensures accuracy of warehouse inventory, including excess parts, system inventory and scrapped inventory. They will also be responsible for inventory control, materials handling, count inventory to match with the system, put away, restocking, order fulfillment, and to organize the labs and warehouses.

  Responsibilities

  Specific duties include and are not limited to the following:

  Assist in the movement of materials and inventory between various locations onsite and between offsite locations; Replenish stock, maintaining inventory, and moving items to increase picking efficiency; Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity by completing inventory control counts, audits and/or reconciliations to ensure company inventory accuracy goals; Operate Warehouse Equipment: Forklift, Pallet Jack, Cherry Picker as needed; Ability to drive and operate company vehicles, van, and box truck; Verify and ensure materials/supplies are properly labeled and stored; Return materials to warehouse locations after receipt using material handling equipment, including forklifts; Follow all safety guidelines by maintaining a clean safe warehouse; Consistently demonstrating and incorporating principals of safety for self and others within daily activities; Perform data entry and system transactions using Oracle applications; Ensure highest quality product deliveries within established lead times; Review and update procedures to ensure accuracy to meet business requirements; Assisting team with various projects as needed; Review and update procedures to ensure accuracy to meet business requirements; Identify areas for process improvement, cost savings, and collaborate with associates to improve efficiency, productivity, and processes.; Troubleshoot basic issues independently and report issues to management. Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and procedures.

  Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing and distribution.

  Basic PC skills: Word, Excel, etc.

  0-1 years of experience in high volume warehouse environment

  Driven, self-motivated, with a strong attention to detail

  Good oral and written communication skills

  Dedicated/reliable with positive, “can do” attitude

  Proficient in shipping processes and specifications both domestically and internationally

  Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  Exhibits strong organizational skills, and follow-through and with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.

  Work Requirements

  Senior Material Handler is a critical role and will report to our Redwood Shores, CA office daily. This position does not offer telework or remote/working from home options.

  Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.

  Sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods of time.

  Ability to constantly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 100 lbs.

  Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.

  Ability to drive an automatic vehicle (truck or van) and operate any material handling equipment

  Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

  US: Hiring Range: from $19.57 to $38.32 per hour; from $40,700 to $79,700 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

  Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

  Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  11 paid holidays

  Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
