About this role:
DePuy Synthes (DPS) is recruiting for a Senior Manager – Portfolio Management for the Joints Platform within the Joints Engineering Supply Chain team. This role will be located in Raynham, MA; Warsaw, IN; Cork, Ireland; Suzhou, China; Blackpool/ Leeds, UK. Additional locations within commutable distance of a US Johnson and Johnson DePuy-Synthes (DPS) or MedTech facility may be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
This role involves overall responsibilities as a Global Lead of the Project Portfolio Management Office for the Joints Platform. Responsibilities outlined:
Global responsibility of the Project Portfolio Management Office for the Joints Platform
Lead the Joints Reconstruction Platform Portfolio Management process and business cycle, in alignment with J&J MedTech (JJMT) and DPS Supply Chain (DPS SC) priorities, along with Commercial, and functional objectives.
Lead effective alignment and prioritization process across E2E Platforms and Functions, and strengthen partnerships across DPS SC.
Elevate portfolio, program, and project management capabilities across the Joints Platform
Lead team of project portfolio managers at sites and across value streams. Establish plans for talent development, diversification, and professional development for future pipeline team.
Represent Platform in DPS Supply Chain, JJMT and Enterprise strategy, and management of the “book of work.”
Leads all Platform metrics & related governance processes including reporting visualization. Partners with all functions to ensure timely delivery of metrics.
Enhance and establish execution standards, portfolio management and processes for Strategic Project development, intake, and execution.
Provide Leadership oversight of business case developments in partnership with Finance, ensure alignment to SC Strategies, Strategic Planning, and priorities.
Responsible for the Global deployment and integration of FPX project management methodology to support the execution of projects across the innovation lifecycle.
Responsible for team that leads Resource & scheduling Management as part of the project Stage Gate process.
Adoption of Technology Road mapping in support of strategic planning initiatives.
Support training and advocacy to drive system adoption at Global level to ensure appropriate Data Accuracy and transparency. e.g. Planisware, Qlik dashboard, etc.
Partnering closely with DPS SC PMO – standardizing project management processes across functions and across the network. Ensure consistent Global adoption of Planisware for management of projects and portfolio data.
Execute monthly reporting and consolidation of project financial performance with a focus on ensuring financial targets are met.
Global responsibility for managing capital, expenses spend and attainment of value improvement targets for the Manufacturing organization.
Manage competing demands relevant to scope, schedule, cost, risk and quality, and differing stakeholder requirements and expectations to satisfy outcomes.
Sets the standard for timeliness, work ethic, and personal integrity.
Strong leadership skill with significant business experience are necessities for this highly visible and influential role. Comprehensive knowledge of process and operational improvement best practices are necessary skills along with ability to engage talent, strong change management skills, sound judgment, and a unique ability to solve problems.
Experience, skills & proficiencies required:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Data Science or related field highly preferred; Advanced degree such as a M.S. or MBA preferred
A minimum of 10 years of related experience required
Previous Project Management experience required. Project Management qualification/certification – e.g. Diploma, Masters, PMP, Prince preferred.
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, Agile methodologies, and best practices required
Strong leadership experience with the ability to lead and influence across a global organization required
Ability to lead and develop individuals within an organization required
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in bridging technical and business disciplines, evaluating, and determining appropriate risks required
Lean manufacturing and six-sigma methodology experience preferred
Product cost management and budget management preferred
Data Analytical capability preferred
Up to 10% of travel both domestically and internationally is required
Strong cross-functional business acumen and proven track record in the delivery of cross functional projects.
Works and communicates well with others in a team environment.
Comfortable working across multiple geographically dispersed locations.
Participates in and understands all compliance related activities pertaining to the role.
Follows all local laws and policies and maintains the highest levels of professionalism, ethics and compliance at all times.
Follows appropriate safety practices in order to prevent accidents to self or others.
Demonstrates history of positive interpersonal skills showing courtesy, tact, and understanding in interactions with co-workers, even under stressful circumstances
