  Job Description The Merchant Sales and Acceptance team at Visa is responsible for ubiquitous and frictionless Visa Acceptance to maintain Visa’s leadership in payments business. This team manages Visa’s relationship with the seller side of the ecosystem and drives preference for Visa with them.

  The senior manager in merchant enablement role will be required to drive Visa’s payment leadership agenda with cross functional teams internally and externally (with clients). Candidate is expected to develop strong alignment between partner organizations and Visa, agree on strategic goals and deliver both long-term and short-term outcomes. Be the principal point of contact for the accounts managed by the role, focusing on creating sustainable long-term relationships with partners and drive delivery of payment leadership initiatives. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of business development with significant potential for growth.

  This is a key role in the partnership vertical (acceptance) of Visa India and will be responsible for managing some key accounts.  The role is expected to lead relationships with the aim of increasing market share for Visa & driving strategic initiatives with seller side partners to deliver on Visa’s payment leadership objective. Merchant Enablement Senior Manager role at Visa drives multiple objectives to have a positive impact on Visa business through:

  Widespread and frictionless acceptance is key to ensure Visa’s position as top of wallet with cardholders.

  Contactless initiatives and launch of digital products with merchants ensure that Visa is a preferred mode of payment thereby ensuring growth in current revenue streams.

  Partnerships to drive affluent segment and cross border spends will help faster growth in revenue streams.

  Growing penetration of value-added services and Commercial & Money Movement solutions is key to achieve our tomorrow (i.e., long term) revenue aspirations.

  Candidate will need:

  MBA from a tier 1 institute with minimum of 8 years work experience including 5+ years of business development, partnerships, or sales experience in fast-paced growth environment.

  Comprehensive knowledge and experience of working in payments, e-commerce, Fintech and/or technology enabled commerce businesses in a solution selling environment. Relationships across key players would be valuable.

  Experience of successfully managing strategic clients and offer ongoing payments consulting.

  Solution focused: connect the dots and leverage Visa best practices, unafraid to make timely decisions in ambiguous, high-pressure situations, quick to adjust/recover and reset priorities.

  Highly effective communicator who can form networks and make inroads into client organizations. You will operate in a complex and matrixed environment.

  Adept at developing a robust internal and external network of relevant global business leaders to help you execute effectively.

  Proficiency in excel and power point and have capability to project manage complex projects.

  The right candidate is expected to have prior experience of managing relationship with senior stakeholders as well as working level teams, owning and managing partnerships, drive business outcomes, and coordinate internal resources towards delivery of partnership goals. The experience in negotiating contractual terms within set parameters along with the aptitude to understand internal policy and procedures when structuring agreements will be helpful.

  As part of the merchant sales and acceptance team, the senior manager for merchant enablement will:

  Partner with merchant clients to deliver best experience on Visa cards and collaborate with Visa product unit to win in everyday spend and digital.

  Deliver across all non-financial scorecard metrics including but not limited to Client NPS.

  Establishing merchant partnerships to safeguard cross-border spends and win share in affluent segments.

  Deliver contactless initiatives across key offline partnerships to lift contactless penetration in line with the country targets.

  Launch various digital payment initiatives with the merchants to achieve the required coverage and deliver transaction targets.

  Drive meaningful contribution of merchant side to achieve revenue aspirations by growing Visa value added services and Commercial & Money Movement Solutions
