Position Summary
The Senior Manager of Merchandising Process Improvement will lead development and execution of data-driven strategies to improve business performance. Working closely with Merchandising leadership, this is an opportunity to drive productivity, profitability, and consistency across the Enterprise. You will have vast exposure to key decision-makers at multiple levels of Leadership across Front Store organization. Through thorough root-cause analysis of Customer frustration and Colleague challenges you will develop and implement programs and processes that synchronize multiple workstreams, initiatives, metrics, and other components into one, cohesive, seamless operation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Optimize:Standardize Ways of Working across Merchandising: develop guidelines and standard operating procedures to ensure merchandising strategies are executed flawlessly.Solicit, evaluate, and employ internal structures and governance that prioritize efficiency and cost-effectivenessMap the end-to-end Value Stream, pinpointing data capture and reporting needs to identify opportunities that positively impact up-stream and down-stream partners in Pricing, Supply Chain, Store Operations and others.Analytical Mindset:Employ root cause analyses to identify true source of problems so effective solutions can be implementedExamine the flow of existing processes to foster value-accretive activities and suppress value-decretive onesEmploy a 'Test and Learn' mindset through discovery of the problem, design of the solution at scale and deployment of a pilot before determining if/when to scale.Drive Results:Drive productivity by eliminating wasteful practices and unnecessary costs through optimization and modernization effortsPush sustainable progress by designing and executing operational programs that prioritize consistency across the Front Store value chain.Establish and maintain well-defined project scope and success measures in collaboration with key stakeholdersThought Leadership:Counsel leadership on continuous improvement and transformation strategies, tactics, and performance.Reinforce efficient behaviors across all levels and functions of Colleagues - including Executive Leadership - by providing standardized tracking and reporting of processes and procedures so all tasks are completed accurately and on time by the responsible partiesDefine and implement intervention plans to address pain points and close gaps across multiple business plans and projects.Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
It is preferable that a candidate have knowledge of:Continuous improvement methodologies, with understanding of organizational factors and constraintsMerchandise familiarity - understanding of retail merchandising basics (i.e., Category Management), and merchandising organizational structures and processesand skill in:Project Management certification is desirableMastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPointTechnical tools, such as: Tableau, IRI Unify, Numerator, SQL Assistant, VBA, Python, SAP, SAP BI, Teradata, Palantir Foundry, Oracle are a plus, but not requiredMasters of Business Administration completed or in process

The typical pay range for this role is:
$79,200.00 - $170,800.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
