Role Overview :
We are seeking highly energized, fast-learning, team-contributing candidate, who wants to make a significant impact on transforming the U.S. & Canada Field purchasing function. As a Sr Manager, Field Supply Chain, you will be responsible for leading and executing supply management strategies around our service parts business.
The role will require a blend of strategic and tactical efforts. Day-to-day duties include supplier management and negotiations, developing and executing supply chain strategies, and facilitating external vendor purchases on field service materials. The successful candidate will have a contributing role in developing and growing processes to support centralized purchasing. This role will report to the Director, Global Supply Chain, NA Field Supply Chain.
Essential Responsibilities:
Define and execute supply chain strategies to deliver productivity savings in the service business line as well as service material cost management for NA
Lead FRS (field requisition system) deployments in NA, in collaboration with the global program office, and be responsible for defining and tracking value creation and KPIs
Develop and lead the service parts catalog effort for NA, including analysis and conversion of local field purchasing spend to standard regional or supply chain centrally managed catalogs, as well as collaborating with mechanical and electrical category leads as necessary to ensure competitive bidding/sourcing of catalog parts and driving MP plan & execution
Provide supply chain strategic sourcing leadership for field-only categories including competitor spare parts and 3rd party elevator/escalator distributors
Develop and execute sourcing strategy for price & lead time desks and non-catalog FRS requests, collaborating with mechanical & electrical category leads as necessary
Collaborate with Spare Parts Transformation team and Logistics team to define & implement stocking/drop ship/forward stocking strategy to ensure timely delivery of the right parts to the field
Support regional/local field office procurement needs, facilitating key purchases and supplier escalations.
Manage report-outs and data analytics to global/regional leadership.
Requirements:
BA/BS degree in supply chain, engineering, or business with 10+ years’ experience, field experience preferred, master’s degree in similar with 7+ years of experience
Demonstrated experience in supply chain, including developing transformational strategies, managing suppliers, and driving compliance, savings, and process efficiency
Proven ability to lead cross functionally, understanding cross functional business requirements as well as motivating in a matrixed global organization
Proven ability to apply independent business judgment and demonstrate influence to drive strategy and achieve results
Excellent analytical skills, ability to lead data analysis and resolution of complex problems where success requires the evaluation of both tangible and intangible variables
Ability to communicate with multifunctional stakeholders at all levels of the organization including supply chain managers, leadership, field operations & branches, and suppliers, and excellent listening and influencing skills
Experience with global quality systems like Six Sigma and Lean, certification a plus; Knowledge of, or experience with ERP/JDE.
Experience with change management, such as ADKAR, certification a plus
Strong project management experience, certification a plus
High energy and dynamic, with strong interpersonal skills
Experience with Otis global JDE and Otis purchasing policies/standard work is preferred.
Experience in project management including identifying a plan, aligning resources, identifying and managing risks, and reporting to steering committees.
Ability to adapt and excel in a dynamic global environment.
Preferred Knowledge of elevator industry
