Position Summary
Senior Treasury Manager, Capital Planning and Funding will provide leadership to define and execute strategic objectives for capital markets, liquidity planning, financing, and pension investments for Bridgestone Americas Inc. Position will have a leading role to support Bridgestone’s pension programs and prepare executive and board presentations as part of their responsibilities.
Successful candidate is a result-oriented professional who will partner with Assistant Treasurer and leadership in Tax, Accounting, FP&A and business teams to execute Treasury priorities.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership, oversight, execution, and support in various broad treasury activities:
Lead evaluation and provide recommendations on investment managers and asset allocations to comply with Bridgestone’s de-risking strategy
Prepare and lead monthly investment reviews for the Pension Investment Committee (PIC) and prepare materials for quarterly Pension Steering Committee (PSC) discussions
Lead execution responsibilities related to debt issuances, including revolver, green bonds/private placements, commercial paper, term loans, and sustainability linked funding strategies
Lead agreement reviews for debt structure and compliance process to monitor covenants
Prepare and lead monthly reporting for BSAM Cash Committee – governance committee that is tasked with improving free cash flow with focus on optimizing working capital
Design, implement and maintain consolidated and country specific liquidity plans and cash flow forecasts for BSAM and its subsidiaries – monthly, annual, and medium term, including scenario plans
Lead capital structure review for Bridgestone Americas and develop strategic debt and financing plan for M&A and other large strategic investments
Implement liquidity opportunities and execute strategies to enhance liquidity while reducing the overall cost
Lead implementation and expansion of supply chain finance program in the Americas, including LATAM
Implement financing for international subsidiaries that fits with the identified capital structure objectives
Work with Tax and Finance to evaluate, implement and maintain capital structures for the Company’s subsidiaries that meet business, tax and regulatory objectives and requirements
Prepare reports of key financial metrics to be used by senior management and global banks
Support strategic finance initiatives as needed including rating agency presentations, M&A, and financings
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering, math, or economics
8 years’ experience in a Finance or Treasury role in large multinational company with track record of progression
Previous leadership experience of professionals
MBA, CFA, or Certified Treasury Professional designation is a plus
Excellent ability to communicate up and down the organization, including external partners and executive management
Advanced ability with data analysis to support actionable recommendations
Excellent ability to work under ambiguity and minimal supervision
Strong business and financial acumen
Experience with Treasury management systems (Reval, Quantum) is a plus
