Position Summary
This position is essential to supporting various facility and powerhouse construction projects at plants including Abilene, Warren, Aiken, and Joliette, among others. This position will support capital planning and capital spend management ($2.5B over MBP), schedule oversite, work with construction partners and BAMG procurement, manage expansion and other capability projects, ensure consistency with Bridgestone’s standards, lead the capital budget process, present budgets to leadership, reach capital spend goals, etc. The team currently has 11 direct reports. This role may include travel and often requires agility, responding to last-minute requests from senior leaders, especially during OBud.
Responsibilities

Construction – provide leadership, cost oversight, schedule oversight to teammates who are managing BAMG facility construction and powerhouse projects
Construction – maintain network and positive relationships with key external construction partner in coordination with BSAM Procurement. Represent BAMG with contract development with BSAM Procurement and Legal
Project Management - champion compliance to project management standard with BAMG. Perform associated duties such as Change Order review, Funds Request review, organize and facilitate monthly executive BAMG Key Projects presentations, etc.
Capital Management – lead the annual MBP capital budget process includes; developing and providing capital targets to plant, organizing plant reviews, analyzing and summarizing data. Preparing reports to leadership and organization outside BAMG, specifically BSAM Finance and Bridgestone - Japan
Capital Management – drive the activities associated with BAMG achieving its annual capital spend targets. Specifically; monitoring and reporting monthly capital spending, reallocating capital as required, developing and providing tasks to plants when necessary
This role also develops and ensures adoption of short to mid-term strategy/results and execution of functional strategy for the operational direction of the department, oversees continuous improvement/automation implementation activities, leverages institutional knowledge for strategy development, supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders and influences, and coaches, and develops direct reports/teams.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technical Construction, or Construction Engineering
8 years of relevant experience, including 5 years of management or leadership experience
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; 8+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years management or leadership experience
Or Master’s degree; 6+ years of relevant experience including 4-5 years management or leadership experience
