As a sub-function of DSM, Inventory Operation (IO) team contributes to unlock responsive supply and inventory productivity to get the right product to the consumer faster.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Senior Inventory Operation Planner to forecast, guide, and respond on Nike E2E (End to End) inventory, driving inventory productivity and enabling profitable growth across all. The ideal candidate will be able to create end-to-end supply and inventory plans to drive profitable growth and optimize all dimensions of Nike’s supply chain.
The candidate needs to have proven analytical skill to measure key performance indicators and good communication skill with internal and external partners to develop, align and implement key initiatives. This position needs to be familiar with both Nike Direct to Consumer (DTC) and wholesale businesses and understand the inventory implications coming from business structures and financial figures.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As Sr. Inventory Operation Planner, you will forecast and manage inventory health by Consumer/Marketplace Unit (MPU) to maximize productivity and profitability. Being in charge of good receipt and intransit forecast, you will involve working with complex end-to-end supply and validating it with the sales forecasts managed by the Merchandizing Financial Planners (MFPs). This requires a deep understanding of both (1) the supply side of data, which includes risks and opportunities in supply creation and delivery, as well as (2) a deep understanding of the MFP forecast, how it’s created and what’s baked in--or more importantly, what’s not baked in, and therefore, is a risk or opportunity. Additionally, you will examine inventory at a style level across the entire company, rather than just a single MPU. Then, you will support IO director/manager to initiate conversations and actions to manage styles effectively for the entire enterprise. This includes leading Trading Room actions to reallocate slow-moving inventory to channels with available capacity, conduct EPR (Early Price Reduction) for styles that are performing poorly at inline channels.
